Nature’s Best Photography, one of the world’s premier photographic competitions, traditionally offered no prizes. The honour of having one’s work amongst selected images exhibited at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History was in itself an award of such prestige that the event annually attracted thousands of entries to the African section of Nature’s Best.
The organisers of Nature’s Best Photography Africa are sensitive to this tradition but after consultations with Steve Freligh, the founder of the event, it was decided to bring an innovation to the competition. It is with pleasure, therefore, that Nature’s Best Photography Africa can now announce that category winners will be rewarded with photographic safaris in Africa.
This initiative will, we believe, facilitate opportunities for gifted photographers to visit exotic African destinations where they will be able to create more worthy images of Africa. These images can then feature in future Nature’s Best Photography Africa events.
In a co-operative venture, the &Beyond Group, Chobe Safari Lodge and CNP Safaris have donated prizes of specialist photographic safaris to the winners of all the adult categories in the competition. These spectacular awards will take the winners to the Chobe in Botswana, Masai Mara in Kenya or to the Serengeti in Tanzania for an unforgettable experience in Africa’s finest wildlife environs.
